MarQi Co. is a commercial real estate management and investment company working in two Midwest markets. In Wisconsin we own and operate retail and commercial property across Milwaukee County and Waukesha County: Pewaukee Plaza on West Capitol Drive, National Avenue Center on South 108th Street in West Allis, Bay View Retail Center on East Oklahoma Avenue in Milwaukee, the Fresenius Kidney Center in West Allis and the Pella Windows store in Brookfield.

In Illinois we operate MarQi Center in Elk Grove Village, minutes from O'Hare, and Wansford Retail Plaza in Rockford, serving the greater Chicago area and northern Illinois. We also manage the Digital Ignition Center in Alpharetta, Georgia.

What makes the advice different is that we are an owner-operator, not only an adviser. When we underwrite an acquisition, budget a capital repair or negotiate a lease clause, the numbers come from buildings our own team has to run afterwards. Twenty-two businesses currently trade at our multi-tenant centres - from national brands to independent operators - and the same in-house team handles their maintenance calls, lease administration and monthly reporting.

Yes. We manage third-party commercial property alongside our own portfolio. Owners typically come to us for retail centres, single-tenant net lease buildings and small commercial portfolios in our two core markets.

How is MarQi Co. different from a brokerage?

A brokerage advises on transactions. We own and operate commercial property in the same markets we advise on, so our operating assumptions - what a building costs to run, which tenants pay on time, what a rent will hold at renewal - come from experience rather than from a pro forma.
